Introducing Geneveve

What is Geneveve?

Geneveve is a new treatment specialized to help with vaginal laxity. Not only does it help with laxity but it also helps with urinary incontinence, loss of arousal, vaginal dryness and not being able to orgasm.

How does Geneveve work?

The Geneveve treatment consist of using a wand that conduces cooled tiny pulses through radio frequency while it produces the right amount of heat into the vaginal tissue. As the heat is conducted the tissue begins to tighten and the skin begins to stimulate new collagen.

Is there downtime?

There is no downtime after the Genevieve treatment. The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes. The treatment is painless, no anesthetic is involved at all. Women may resume normal activities same day and that includes sexual activity.

Who is a candidate for Geneveve?

Women that have had children or are experiencing vaginal looseness are great candidates for the treatment. Women who are expecting or are currently menstruating should wait before they do the treatment. Patients with pacemakers or automatic implantable cardiovascular defibrillator are not candidates for  Geneveve.

Are you ready for the latest FDA cleared, non invasive procedure that is going to help lifting your skin??
Well Ultherapy is here and its bringing in many clients to the Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa.
So what is exactly is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy is a procedure used to lift the skin. It can lift the skin under the chin, eyebrow and neck! Using focused ultrasound imaging it helps incite the growth of collagen. Ultherapy ultrasound focuses on top layer of the skin as it would when going through surgery although this does not involve any cutting whatsoever!
There is no pain during the procedure When performed correctly.   Some patients can experience some discomfort which  subsides when the treatment has been completed.  Ultherapy generates a reaction in the skin which kickstarts the production of new collagen which replaces the old.  Some patients may notice the difference immediately after their treatment, but results in general are visible within a 2 to 3 month period.
People with maturing skin are great candidates for Ultherapy.   Ultherapy does not take place of a face lift or neck lift but it helps the people that aren’t quite ready to go in for surgery. Ultherapy is also great for people who want to stay ahead of the game. Who wouldn’t want to stay looking young longer? Hurry in to The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa and start looking young again!

What’s your morning routine?
I wake up between 5 and 6 a.m. and the first thing I do is drink a bottle of water with chlorophyll drops in it. I eat a pint of organic raspberries and blueberries then make a smoothie with spinach, celery, cucumber, ginger, cinnamon, flax, apple and banana. Depending on where I have to be and how I have to look, it can take me anywhere from five minutes (brushing my teeth and putting on sunscreen) to 20 minutes to get out the door.
Which products do reach for while getting ready?
I use Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap and Yes to Blueberries Body Wash and then use coconut oil as a moisturizer as soon as I get out of the shower. I never leave the house without my Elta MD Skincare Broad Spectrum SPF 45!
What’s a day at work like?
I drive to a private gym and train one to two clients and then drive to the studios to train clients in between shoots. I drive to the gym for myself and then pop home to shower, let the dogs out and answer emails. Then I drive to a particular client’s home to train, and finally to Barry’s Bootcamp to teach my master class. I drive a lot!
What do you eat for lunch and dinner? Do you ever snack?
I eat anytime between 12 and 1 p.m. and snack before and after, too, which usually consists of red peppers, almonds or flax crackers with avocado. I always have water on me at all times and my lunch is usually a giant kale or mixed green salad with salmon or quinoa. For dinner, I always have a salad to start and then vegetables like brussel sprouts, cauliflower or sweet potatoes with either chicken or steak, depending on my mood.
What do you do when you’re out of work?
I love my job but when I get off I’m exhausted! I usually just come home and prepare for the next day. I’ll eat dinner, and then watch some TV with lights out by 10p.m. Beauty sleep is required!
Any new products you’re excited about?
One of my best friends is an aesthetician who has created the most amazing, handmade face oil called Dew Skin Oil. I’m pretty obsessed with it and use it in place of my moisturizer and then put it on top of my serums at night, or sometimes alone to soothe my skin.
Are there any surprising steps in your beauty routine?
There’s nothing too crazy, but as soon as I’m done working out, I use pads to remove dirt and sweat. Also, before a photo shoot, I rub an ice cube all over my face to help de-puff and tighten my skin!
What’s something we would be surprised to know about you?
In high school, I couldn’t run the one-mile gym class requirement around the soccer field and had absolutely zero endurance—now I love to run!

Xeomin is taking on the Botox world with being the new neoromodultor out on the market today.   Xeomin is FDA approved in treatment for the glabellar lines, it is consider the next generation of neurotoxin.  Here at Paragon Plastic Surgery we off both Botox and Xeomin to our patients.
Getting down to knowing what exactly Xeomin and Botox consist of:
Xeomin has the same parent molecule as Botox which is the oncobotulinum toxin A, but Xeomin is manufacture in a way that the product is more purified. Unlike Botox, Xeomin does not have a preservative protein. Once Botox is injected, the botulinum molecule beginning freeing itself from the preservative protein before its free to bond with the muscles. Once bonded the muscle begins to relax then causing the wrinkle to fade away. Xeomin does not have preservative protein making it immediately available to the muscle receptors, binding immediately with reducing wrinkles at a steady and fast pace.
Botox and Xeomin have been reported to have a different feeling to each other. Xeomin has a much lighter feel and more natural than botox. Xeomin you can still maintain a little bit of motion in the facial features and eyebrows. Botox can be a bit stronger sometimes causing the frozen look, limiting muscle movement to a greater degree.
At Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med spa, Dr. Mark A Bishara has options to fit anyone desired results!   For patients that would like a little to no movement we would recommend Botox. It will have a feeling of a heavy sensation that some patients desired.  If you want a more natural movement with facial function with limiting the facial lines than Xeomin will be a great choice!
Botox and Xeomin both a safe for the face area, commonly utilized in the forehead, crows fee, around the mouth and additional around the next. Bruising usually doesn’t happen but we do provide arnica for the swelling and bruising if it does occur.

Have you ever considered treatments for loose skin? There are many non-surgical options out there for mild skin laxity. Here at Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, Dr. Mark A. Bishara and his staff stand behind the technology of Near Infrared Skin Tightening.

What is Near Infrared Skin Tightening?

Near Infrared is a wavelength that emits light in the 780-1000nm where the optical window is necessary for direct sub-dermal heating of the connective tissue. The light helps to heat up the water content of your skin which stimulates collagen to contract and tighten. Your body’s natural healing process will start to produce new collagen to firm and tighten the appearance of your skin.
Who is Near Infrared Skin Tightening for?
Here at Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa we believe the best candidate for skin tightening are typically younger patients who are not candidates for surgery. Or, they may be older and experience mild to moderate skin laxity and do not want to undergo surgery. Another reason one might choose Near Infrared Skin Tightening over surgery is cost.
How long does it take?
The treatment can take 20-45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
How many treatments does it take?
Here at Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa for best results a series of 6 treatments done every 2-3 weeks is recommended for smoother, tighter skin.
Is there downtime?
There is no downtime after Near Infrared Skin Tightening. You will experience some warmth and redness that will fade within a few hours. Generally you may resume all regular activities after your treatment.
When will I see results?
You may see some immediate results with gradual improvement over a period of 4-8 weeks as new collagen is formed. Results can be maintained with one or two treatments a year.
If you are considering Near Infrared Skin Tightening or are curious if it is right for you, come see us at Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa and let Dr. Mark A. Bishara and his staff recommend the treatment that is best for you and your needs.
