Hair Restoration does exactly what its name say it does. It restores hair to areas of hair loss. It is a cosmetic procedure that improves the esthetic image of a man or woman who is experiencing hair loss and wishes to restore his/her appearance. This procedure is highly successful that achieves the satisfactory outcome desired by the great majority of patients. Hair restoration is a procedure that cannot be undone after it has been performed on a person. However, it can be revised over time with additional surgery. With this being said it is very important that patients should be fully forthcoming in all answers, and should in turn ask as many questions as necessary to feel fully informed.
All questions regarding this procedure are usually resolved by discussions between patient and physician hair restoration specialist. In most cases, patient and physician arrive at an agreement on realistic expectations for outcome. Well directed questions, honest and full answers, discussion and agreement on all matters relating to the hair restoration procedure are as essential to good outcome as it the surgical procedure itself.

Hydration and the Body

The human body makes up 60-70% of our body weight. Keeping our bodies well hydrated plays a crucial role in our health and well being. Water washes through our organs to bring nutrients to cells and moisture to tissues and aiding in flushing away waste and toxins. When the body runs low on water as dehydration sets in fatigue can set in. We lose water when we breathe, sweat, urinate or have bowel movements, exercise or strenuous activity, and when we’re sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Your body’s level of hydration can affect everything from your mood to your productivity. Dehydration can cause headaches, muscle weakness and lightheadedness. A few glasses of water can make you feel better in no time.

To keep your body hydrated, it is recommended that drinking half an ounce of fluid daily for each of your body weight. Take your body weight and divide it by two and that will equal the amount in ounces of water you need daily. Some ways to tell if you are hydrated is if your urine is pale or colorless, quenched thirst, or feeling of overall wellness. It is also recommended that you drink 2 cups of water before physical activity and ½ cup every 15 minutes during activity.

Drinking the adequate amount of water is important in keeping the skin hydrated giving you a radiant, younger looking complexion. Dehydration can make skin lack luster and a natural glow and can exacerbate common dermatological conditions like eczema. Using a topical moisturizer will help to seal the moisture in your skin. Other things you can do to help keep moisture in your skin are taking lukewarm showers, pat skin dry, and apply moisturizer with a damp cloth.

Eating foods rich in water can also help hydrate your body and improve the look and texture of your skin. If you’re like me and plain water doesn’t do it for you, I like to squeeze fresh lemon or line in my water or even add Crystal Light. Other ways to stay hydrated are by eating fresh fruits, vegetables, and eating soups. Some juicy fruits to look for are apples, kiwi, watermelon, papaya, strawberries, and any other type of berry. Cooking vegetables will take out the natural moisture and hydration. You want to eat green vegetables like bok choy, celery, cucumbers, green salad, spinach, cabbage and broccoli. Soups that are broth and water based are a great source of water. Stay away from sodas, which actually dehydrate the body. Thus drinking plenty of water can wash off all the problems to make your mind, body, and skin shine with health.
