• SR 9,271,617,840 SAR (Saudi Riyal)
*The “average fee” charged for a procedure reported by survey participants and used in this calculation represents the overall average fee charged to all patients treated. Since the cost of procedures performed on individual patients may vary depending on the number of grafts and several other factors, the “average fee” as it related to this survey did not represent what all patients would expect to pay for a procedure, and should not be construed as a typical price for a hair restoration procedure.

“so fresh and so clean clean”

Clean your house and tidy up before having your breast augmentation surgery with Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. and his staff at The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa because we will be joining you for dinner! No, we won’t be joining you for dinner (unless you insist). We recommend cleaning your house before surgery because coming home to a dirty dishevelled house is not relaxing. Create your own serene environment, whatever that may entail, it doesn’t matter as long as you will be able to recover and relax. Nothing beats snuggling up in bed with fresh clean sheets!

Nightstand Necessities

For those that don’t know CVS and most other drug stores have a wall of one dollar priced items that are travel size. Use this wall to your advantage and stock up on little things that we usually keep in our purse or car. Think of all the items that you use on a daily basis and put them right in arms reach on the nightstand. Such items could include your favorite lip balms, lotions, gum or mints, tissues, water (for the adventurous – water with cucumber, lemon and mint leaves), tv remote, baby wipes to freshen up, smart phone, charger, magazines and books (self help books could be great, we all need some improvement)! Right In Arms Reach

Before breast augmentation surgery go around the house and see what you reach for on a daily or weekly basis. Keep your arms to your sides and see if you can still reach it, if the item is too high and your have to lift your arms up relatively high move it to a lower place. After surgery you won’t want to be raising your arms up over your head. So, pretend to make dinner or get ready for the day and bring those items to you!

“Plump” up the volume

Body pillows are available at most stores like Kohls or Target. Get a couple of these body pillows to have on both sides of you to prop up those arms (soft fuzzy pillow cases are available for these). In addition to those, prop a few regular pillows behind you or get a wedge type of pillow to help you sit at a 45 degree angle. Sitting at this angle and propping your arms up will help with bruising. FreeImages.com/Mdmartian.

Cocoa Butter

Once you have the clear all after your breast augmentation surgery to take showers, your skin will be tighter than usual and could start itching if you aren’t moisturizing properly. Be careful not to get the cocoa butter/moisturizing lotion of your choice near the incisions but you can apply this to the surrounding areas to help with the tightness and itching.

Child Care

Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. and his staff at The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa have special places in their hearts for kids and animals of all kinds so we want to be sure their taken care of! If child care entails picking your daughter/son up from school, taking them to practice and stopping for a quick bite on the way home make sure that someone will be able to take care of these for a little while. It can take as much as two weeks before driving will feel comfortable again. Also, if child care is taking your hyper dog for an afternoon run/walk be sure to have someone do this until you fully recover. Walking should be fine after a couple weeks. Be careful holding the leash if your little guy/girl likes to pull! FreeImages.com/MehmetGoren. FreeImages.com/DanMitchell.

Food

Very important topic for all of you fellow foodies! Make your meals ahead of time and store these away in the freezer (in a easy to reach place not above your head) so that you can easily reheat them. Little snack foods throughout the day are best. For the later weeks, stock up on the easy to cook favorites that you can do in your sleep (figuratively of course). Or, have your favorite delivery options saved in your smart phone! FreeImages.com/Rotorhead.

Feeling Peachy In No Time

The post operative combination of medications after your breast augmentation surgery can lead to you having constipation (I know, no one wants to talk about this) but you will be thankful later. Canned peaches, white grape juice or a high fiber based laxative like Metamucil will help alleviate this issue. FreeImages.com/Ecilaecila.

Bra

Ladies, we all know there’s nothing better than coming home and taking off your bra after a long day. I’m here to burst your bubble. After surgery your girls should be kept in the sports bra that your doctor provides you for the first month. After a month or two it is okay to wear sports bras of your choice as long as it supports you and doesn’t have underwire. After 6 months you should get the OK to go bra shopping and pick out the pretty bras that you’ve been itching to wear, until then, hold tight!

Ice ice baby

Have your ice packs ready (in an easy to reach place) in the freezer so when you get home they will be good and cold. Get 4 so you can use two at time and swap the room temperature ones out with the cold ones. The more flexible the ice pack the better so that you can form it to ice all areas and not just the top or side. Be sure to keep them on for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off.

Comfortable Clothing

When you come home from your breast augmentation surgery you won’t want to be pulling anything over your head. Wear a button up loose fitting shirt to the surgery and easy to put on shorts (it’s okay if you look like you roam the streets for a couple weeks). Stock up on your boyfriend/husbands big button up shirts or go buy some soft comfy flannel ones!

Arnica Montana

No, I’m not instructing you to move to Montana! Arnica Montana is a pill that will help tremendously with bruising. It can be hard to find so get this ahead of time, it can usually be found in most drug stores or on Amazon for a cheaper price!

Body Hair Transplantation is essentially taking hair from other areas of the body rather than the most common, the back or sides of the head, and then planting those hairs to the balding area. The other donor areas that hair follicles can be taken from includes: beard, chest, shoulders, stomach, arms and legs. Below are 6 Frequently asked questions concerning Body Hair Transplantation.

Typical Candidate

In cases where the head hair has depleted or the type of hair needed to transplant is different than the type of hair on the head.

Color

If someone wants a beard transplantation from their blonde head hair to their patchy red beard, the blonde hair color is not going to change to red once the hairs are transplanted to the beard. However, the mixing of these colors and those alike could potentially create a strawberry blonde look. If mixing different colors of hair is the only option available, the patient has the option to dye the hair all over once it’s completely healed because it is normal hair by then and can be treated that way.

Length

Hair length will grow as it did in the donor site. So if you’re using hair from other parts of the body besides the head you are committing to having shorter hair. Beard and hair from the head are hairs that for most never stop growing at a certain length or amount of time. Hair on the chest, legs and arms essentially stop growing at a certain length usually around 3 to 6 cm.

Texture

Hair texture will keep the same texture as it had before it was transplanted to another area. For instance if one was wanting eyebrow restoration, the typical donor site would be arm or leg hair. Arm or leg hair would be used in eyebrow transplantation because this hair is finer and the growth isn’t going to be long.

Structure

Body hair can change its structure. In some cases the hairs would become longer and straighter which is adapting to normal hair on the head. In others, the hairs wouldn’t change from their original structure.

Scaring

FUE otherwise known as Follicular Unit Extraction using ARTAS is a procedure that extracts the hair follicles with one-millimeter punches. The tiny size of each extraction makes scaring almost out of the question, in most cases leaving only little white dots if anything at all.

The holiday season with all its parties, family gatherings, and New Year’s resolutions can be stressful for men and women of all ages because this is typically a special time when they want to look and feel their best despite all the stress frequently associated with holiday events.
Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. and his staff at The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Medspa can help each individual man or woman look and feel their best for all holiday events coming up.  Dr. Bishara takes the time to cultivate individual relationships with his patients in order to assure that they receive their desired look.  He uses the term “patient” because he says, “I feel the term patient is a more personal and appropriate term because I am working with people in personal ways.”
In his new state-of-the art facility completed in 2014, he offers the full gamut of cosmetic procedures such as robotic hair restoration, breast augmentation, tummy tuck and a variety of laser procedures. The calming music and soothing décor of his new facility create an atmosphere to ease the nerves of any anxious patient.  “Sometimes patients come in extremely nervous, and my goal is to provide a calming, relaxing environment to reduce their anticipated anxiety,” he said.  Additionally, Dr. Bishara takes the time to listen, discuss and explain all treatment options before outlining an appropriate treatment plan.
In his Paragon office in Mansfield, Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. offers “Wrinkle-Free Wednesday.”  Patients can come in for Botox and Xeomin treatments at discounted rates.  It’s easy to see why this is the most popular and busiest day of the week for Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. and his staff.  He treats hundreds of patients seeking these non-invasive, preventive procedures from 8am until 8pm.  “We go through enough Botox to remove every single wrinkle from an elephant’s skin,” he grinned, “but my goal is for them to still look like themselves,” he explained.
Also, as an AAAHC certified facility and dual trained surgeon, he can provide acute care as well as cosmetic surgical services.  His goal is to make sure that every patient’s needs are satisfactorily and effectively met.  In the spirit of giving this holiday season, Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. plans to open a combined clinic that will offer reduced rates for general surgical procedures including lumpectomy, advanced laparoscopic hernia and gallbladder procedures, and varicose vein ablation.
“The current medical system in this country is not sustainable.  Hospitals and surgery centers charging $11,000 for a 15-minute procedure is simply not feasible when it could be offered at a more reasonable price,” he said.  These large centers are sometimes bound to hold pricing high due their contracted rates with insurance companies.  As a responsible physician, he wants to provide clinical services that promote and foster a medical system that is sustainable and affordable.  That is why he has announced the addition of four advanced laparoscopic surgeons to the staff at the Paragon Surgery Center in Mansfield.  Surgical procedures are now being offered to all patients state-wide for a cash price that is often less than some deductible plans.  Although this system is intended to be cash based, some patients will still be able to submit the charges for reimbursement through their out of network benefits.
As his services continue to grow and expand, Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. has two other locations for the convenience of his patients; Southlake and North Park.
As the holiday season and the new year approach, let Dr. Bishara and his staff help you look and feel your best.  Call one of his three convenient locations at 817-473-2120 or email appointments@markbisharamd.com to make an appointment and ensure that you enjoy the holidays knowing that you truly look your best!

Why Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation is done to enlarge breasts that are naturally small, to restore breast size and shape after pregnancy, weight loss or breast feeding and to:

  • restore symmetry if the breasts are not asymmetrical
  • restore the breast after the patient underwent breast cancer or some other condition that affected the breast size and shape.

Breast augmentation can benefit you. There are a few decisions one must make with the help Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. to have this procedure done.

Self-Esteem Boost

Typically women experience a significant boost in their overall self-esteem and how they feel about themselves sexually and towards their partners. According to an article published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 98% of women who underwent breast augmentation surgery said that the results met their expectations. In addition to this women also reported that they had improvement in overall quality of life after the procedure. This research makes all too much sense, when a woman isn’t happy with her body, and is forced to live with it day in and day out, once she gets the issue resolved it is a whole new beginning and chapter in her life. Her loved ones can enjoy her more now than ever as well. The common saying, “happy wife, happy life” rings true.

Statistics

In one study, 225  women that underwent breast augmentation surgery reported   that they were back to normal within 25 days of their surgery date.

  • 85% said that their new breast size was “just right”
  • 13% said a larger size would have been better
  • Less than 2% would have preferred a smaller size.

These findings support a general tendency to go a little larger …especially if you are going back and forth between two sizes you more than likely will be pleased to have gone up in size than down. We hear this all too often that women wish this would’ve gone bigger and rarely hear it the other way around.

  • 1% were not happy with their scars.
  • 75% thought that their breast firmness was “just right”
  • 98% said their results met with their expectations.

The key words here are “met with their expectations” its just as important if not more to have realistic expectations for your breast augmentation surgery. In our edited and photoshopped society we live in it is important to keep those facts in mind when imaging your end result. It’s perfectly normal to expect great looking breasts just not perfect in every aspect like some pictures would lead us to believe.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgery, there were  286,000 breast augmentations procedures in the USA in 2014. Breast augmentation was also named One of The Top 5 Cosmetic Surgical Procedures in 2014. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that women getting breast augmentations are growing rapidly and becoming more and more common.

What are breast implants

A breast implant is placed inside the breast to reshape or reconstruct the physical form of the breast. The implant allows surgeons to create an entirely different breast than the one we are born with and aim for the shape and size that will make the patient and surgeon happy with their end result. The outer layer of the breast implant is made of firm silicone. The inside of the implant is where the different options come from, they can either be filled with salt water (saline solution) or silicone gel. At The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa we are proud to offer patients the option of silicone gel-filled breast implants, since they are much softer and feel more natural than saline-filled breast implants. The makers of these breast implants say that a standard amount of time that their safe to be in the body is 10 years give or take.

Incision Types

Dr. Mark A. Bishara, M.D. P.A. makes incisions in inconspicuous places on or around the breast to minimize scar visibility. The incisions may be located in three different places. First, in the armpit (transaxillary) this incision is one of the newer ones offered by surgeons and has given great results. Second, the crease on the underside of the breast (inframammary) no one will be able to see this unless they are right underneath you and even then it is hard to notice once the patient is fully recovered and the incisions are completely healed. Lastly, around the areola (periareolar) the dark skin around the nipple.

Placement Options

The first option is having a Submuscular placement of the breast implant, this means that the implant would be underneath the pectoral muscle. The recovery time from this placement may be a little bit longer than above because it is going under a muscle that hasn’t had anything underneath it. If this is your second time getting implants underneath the muscle then it shouldn’t be too much of a difference. Placing the implant underneath the muscle gives the breast a more natural look, reduced risk of capsular contracture (post-operative tightening around the implant) and less interference with mammogram examinations. The other option is a Subglandular placement which is behind the breast tissue but over the pectoral muscle.
