There is no denying that hair is an attribute that every one notices.
Realistically, every one would like to have a thick head of hair.
Unfortunately, not all of us are so lucky.
For many individuals, the reality of the situation is that they are dealing with the anguish of insecurity. On a daily basis, they are concerned about a receding hairline or a balding scalp that leaves them feeling far less than comfortable with their self-image.
In fact, it ends up ruining the quality of a lot of people’s lives.
After trying creams, rubs and pills that didn’t come close to working, the prospect of getting you hair back is an idea that is fleeting.

Taking close to eight or nine hours, the doctor would have to individually harvest close to 1,000 hair follicle clusters in order to have enough hair to begin to reconstruct the mane.  The majority of times, the doctor would have to remove portions of the scalp to individually pick out the pieces under microscope.
Needless to say, the result was a painful procedure for all involved and left the patient with weeks of arduous recovery.
That has now changed with the ARTAS robot.
With the robot consistently moving, the surgery has become less tedious for the doctor and less painful for the patient because no pre-surgery is needed. It has been stated that the procedure time has now been cut in half by this invention.
The way the ARTAS system works is simple:
The patient sits in a chair that is attached to the robot. The patient’s hair is cut to a millimeter in length and the machine begins to search the patient’s head for samples while being video monitored by the doctor. While searching for the follicles, the machine’s mechanical arm begins to create small dermal punches and waiting for  Dr Bishara to remove the grafts until the end of robotic dissection.
The follicles are then manually transplanted by Dr Bishara. Once the hair is placed into the scalp, the body begins to produce blood vessels so that the hair can start to grown on it’s own.
Not only is the procedure less painful, it’s also less expensive.
Doctors typically charged any where from $5,000 to $8,000 for the hair extraction portion of the procedure alone. This was because of how tedious the process is. With the ARTAS, that process has been simplified, which cuts down on the work of the doctor making it less time consuming.
This makes it less expensive with costs starting at $3,000.
