Geneveve by Viveve versus ThermiVa

Let the Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa introduce you to Geneveve! Geneveve by Viveve has been clinically proven to rejuvenate the vaginal tissue in one session. Vaginal Laxity is quite common in many women especially those that have undergone through vaginal childbirth. Geneveve can also help with urinary incontinence.
Vaginal tissue looses collagen just like our skin. As we lose collagen you start to feel laxity. Laxity in the vagina is not only caused by childbirth, but aging and genetics have a lot do with it as well. Many women go silent because they either feel embarrassed to talk about it or they are not aware that there are treatments available.
 

So how exactly does geneveve work?

 
In order to stimulate new collagen the Geneveve treatment uses a patented Radio frequency to tighten up the vaginal tissue.  A very small tip is inserted in the the vaginal opening creating a cool feeling and then creating heat to the tissue beneath. The heating and cooling capacity of geneveve is what helps activate and regenerate new collagen The treatment takes about 30 minutes.
Many women describe the treatment as unpainful. Some feel heat some feel a cooling sensation after but no pain. Some patients notice a difference right away but like with skin collagen typically takes about 2 to 3 months to regenerate. Women tend to feel results even up to 12 months after the treatment and from there they can decide if they are ready for a maintenance treatment.
 
What is Thermiva?

Thermiva is a vaginal rejuvenation treatment option created to help women improve their sex life and get back the vaginas of their youth.  Thermiva uses the same technology that’s used in their other skin tightening treatments like ThermiTight and ThermiSmooth. Its purpose it to tighten the vagina and help women reclaim what childbirth or aging may have taken away.  It is important to point out the Geneveve is 1 treatment and 3 treatments with ThermiVa.  External components are treatable with both machines though off label where edema can certainly be expected.

While using cryogen-cooled monopoly radiofrequency the Geneveve treatment begins to deliver gentle volumetric heating while cooling the surface tissue. This unique technology is the only treatment with algorithmically-controlled cooling. Substantial heating at depth is required to both tighten and strengthen the tissue and Geneveve’s cryogen-cooled monopoly radiofrequency (CMRF) technology delivers volumetric heating at precise temperatures to stimulate robust neocollagenesis.
Geneveve uses advanced technologies to ensure a comfortable and successful treatment experience. Its reverse thermal gradient cools and protects the surface mucosa while enabling significant heating of deep tissue, while it’s capacitive coupling distributes energy evenly across the treatment tip for uniform heating. Geneveve has a reproducible delivery with parameters and algorithms that are preset for controlled heating and cooling and its monopoly energy penetrates 3-5 mm deep into connective tissue.
 

Viveve undertook and successfully completed a multicenter, blinded, randomized, sham controlled study of an elective vaginal procedure to assess the effect the treatment had on women suffering from the changes their bodies undergo after vaginal childbirth. This study demonstrated that there were NO serious adverse events in patients treated with the active treatment. The study also showed that improvement of arousal and/or orgasm was statistically significant as self-reported by 9 out of 10 patients. Further, two previous pilot clinical trials conducted by Viveve in the U.S. and Japan, showed sustained tightening at 12 months.

So what is exactly is Ultherapy?

Is there downtime?
