The ARTAS Robot Hair Transplant uses an image-guided system with a robotic arm, sharp and dull disposable punches, video imaging, disposable cartridges and user interface. The inner punch is the sharp 1mm punch which scores the top layer of the skin. The outer punch is the dull 1.3mm punch used to dissect grafts. This system has taken a very labor intensive, fatiguing and imprecise procedure and made it much quicker and more exact dissecting 500 grafts per hour, which translates into about 2,000 grafts per session.
