Science behind Geneveve

While using cryogen-cooled monopoly radiofrequency the Geneveve treatment begins to deliver gentle volumetric heating while cooling the surface tissue. This unique technology is the only treatment with algorithmically-controlled cooling. Substantial heating at depth is required to both tighten and strengthen the tissue and Geneveve’s cryogen-cooled monopoly radiofrequency (CMRF) technology delivers volumetric heating at precise temperatures to stimulate robust neocollagenesis.
Geneveve uses advanced technologies to ensure a comfortable and successful treatment experience. Its reverse thermal gradient cools and protects the surface mucosa while enabling significant heating of deep tissue, while it’s capacitive coupling distributes energy evenly across the treatment tip for uniform heating. Geneveve has a reproducible delivery with parameters and algorithms that are preset for controlled heating and cooling and its monopoly energy penetrates 3-5 mm deep into connective tissue.

Viveve undertook and successfully completed a multicenter, blinded, randomized, sham controlled study of an elective vaginal procedure to assess the effect the treatment had on women suffering from the changes their bodies undergo after vaginal childbirth. This study demonstrated that there were NO serious adverse events in patients treated with the active treatment. The study also showed that improvement of arousal and/or orgasm was statistically significant as self-reported by 9 out of 10 patients. Further, two previous pilot clinical trials conducted by Viveve in the U.S. and Japan, showed sustained tightening at 12 months.
This unique treatment is a comfortable, discreet, and single-session experience that is painless and can be done in approximately 30 minutes. Designed for improving women’s health and overall quality of life, Geneveve is a difference women can FEEL.

Introducing Geneveve

What is Geneveve?

Geneveve is a new treatment specialized to help with vaginal laxity. Not only does it help with laxity but it also helps with urinary incontinence, loss of arousal, vaginal dryness and not being able to orgasm.

How does Geneveve work?

The Geneveve treatment consist of using a wand that conduces cooled tiny pulses through radio frequency while it produces the right amount of heat into the vaginal tissue. As the heat is conducted the tissue begins to tighten and the skin begins to stimulate new collagen.

Is there downtime?

There is no downtime after the Genevieve treatment. The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes. The treatment is painless, no anesthetic is involved at all. Women may resume normal activities same day and that includes sexual activity.

Who is a candidate for Geneveve?

Women that have had children or are experiencing vaginal looseness are great candidates for the treatment. Women who are expecting or are currently menstruating should wait before they do the treatment. Patients with pacemakers or automatic implantable cardiovascular defibrillator are not candidates for  Geneveve.

Where to get the Geneveve treatment?

Geneveve is a treatment that uses gentle deep heating and surface cooling to stimulate the body’s natural collagen formation process. It is a comfortable, single-session, 30-minute treatment. Geneveve does not require local or topical anesthesia or analgesics and is performed by a trained healthcare professional in an outpatient setting.

Yes! Clinical studies have shown that the Geneveve treatment is safe as well as effective.
Your doctor will determine if Geneveve is right for you given your medical history, However, you should NOT consider Geneveve if you have an implantable pacemaker or an Automatic Implantable Cardioverter/Defibrillator (AICD) or any other implantable metal device.
The Geneveve treatment is performed by a trained healthcare practitioner in a medical office or outpatient clinic.

FAST – Safe and comfortable in-office procedure taking a few minutes each
EFFICIENT – Optimal outcomes after 2-4 sessions
SIMPLE – Minimal post-procedure care with no anesthesia required

What is it?

About vaginal health
With age and after childbirth, women start noticing symptoms related to their vaginal health that affect their lifestyle on different levels. Vaginal atrophy or dryness is a common symptom in postmenopausal women. Stress urinary incontinence is another symptom, as well as vaginal laxity after childbirth, which can impact satisfaction with sexual intercourse.
Vaginal Rejuvenation  energy-based treatments must be performed by a physician or an authorized provider in your region. Energy-based treatments are not suitable for everyone and carry some risks. Be sure to consult with your treatment provider before choosing this procedure.

What should I expect?

When will I see results
Typically, 2-4 treatments are needed to see optimal results and achieve the desired outcome on the vaginal layer. In clinical evaluations, women reported feeling improvement after 1-2 treatment sessions.
What can I expect after treatment?
Immediately after treatment you may feel a very mild heat sensation, in which case your treatment provider can prescribe a hydrating gel. This sensation should not last longer than a few hours.

How does it work?

Vaginal Rejuvenation addresses vaginal health related conditions by promoting the remodeling of the vaginal mucous layer.

The treatment.

Before treatment, your physical should assess your vaginal health to ensure you are a good candidate for the treatment. During the procedure, your physician will move the sterilized applicator along the vaginal wall in an outward motion, applying the laser in a 360 degree pattern covering the entire area. The procedure should take a few minutes. You may experience a minor heat sensation during the treatment, but it is very gentle and you should not feel uncomfortable.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) have guidelines in place for young girls (13-19) seeking out breast augmentation for cosmetic reasons, suggesting the age of 18 or at least until the breast has fully developed to the last TANNER stage. But for girls seeking labiaplasty? There really isn’t a set precedent. Why are young girls and women concerned about this? Interestingly, it is more than what meets the eye.
Young girls are seeking out advice about what looks “normal”. For a lot of young girls or women its not about aesthetics, its about feeling comfortable, if the labia minor is larger than normal it can create an extremely painful situation. For athletes such as barrel racers, bicyclist, runners with a larger than “normal” labia, it can create a lot of discomfort for the patient.
Your age should not preclude you from enjoying all activities life has to offer and neither should securing your esteem with a labiaplasty.
Dr. Bishara performs labiaplasty at Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa in Mansfield, Texas. The procedure may be done under local or general anesthesia and is an out-patient procedure typically lasting an hour or two. Some patients opt to pair this surgery with other surgical procedures such as liposuction, breast augmentations or blepharoplasty.
Recovery is typically within 2 weeks. Most patients are able to return to work the day or two post operation and pain managed with over the counter pain medication. As dissolvable sutures are used, no stitches need to be removed and ice can be applied to the area in the event of swelling. Sexual activity and strenuous exercise should be postponed approximately six week post procedure
